1988: Michael Jackson, Man in the Mirror

This is a perfect self-referential example of the "mirror" art that was being created in the Third Turning. The mirror is pointed inward to see a reflection of ourselves and the world, but presents possible "windows" to solutions. It is cunning in the sense that it makes another self-reference on the word "change" at the abrupt unprepared key change, and ironic given the ultimate fate of Michael Jackson, who sadly became victim to his own narcissism, and perhaps foreshadowed a paradigm shift for the world in the Internet age.
