2012: Seapunk

Seapunk is essentially the result of a Twitter posting that became viral. Initially it was a sub-genre of music, but began to incorporate a visual style with a marine color palette of of greens and blues, images of dolphins and mermaids, as well as appropriated elements of the New Age movement.
