1998: A Faster Internet

Beginning of life on the Internet, with the proliferation of faster always-on cable modems. The world had become even more global. It was more global in the 60s due to air travel and the Internet made the world more intimate and culturally accessible.

 The freedom of the Internet created new frontiers of self-expression, and new challenges for the copyright protection of digital media, setting the foundation for a new world of disruptive innovation.
