1963: March on Washington

The March on Washington, August 28, 1963 occurred right on the cusp between the first and second turnings, with the assassination of President Kennedy in November of that year. The Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act passed shortly thereafter, in 1964 and 1965 respectively.
